The Mission
আমাদের সম্পর্কে
AKSHARA FOUNDATION is a pioneering organization in the field of adult literacy, operating across various states in India. Our programs are designed to cater to the diverse needs of rural communities, with a focus on providing literacy skills to adults. We recognize the importance of education in socio-economic development and strive to make a meaningful impact in the lives of millions. Our initiatives are aligned with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4, which aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education for all. In India, we work closely with local communities, governments, and stakeholders to implement literacy programs that are tailored to the specific needs of each region. Our efforts are concentrated in states such as Maharashtra, where literacy rates are below the national average. By empowering adults with literacy skills, we enable them to access better job opportunities, improve their socio-economic status, and contribute to the overall development of their communities.
