AKSHARA FOUNDATION is a pioneering organization in the field of adult literacy, operating across various states in India. Our programs are designed to cater to the diverse needs of rural communities, with a focus on providing literacy skills to adults. We recognize the importance of education in socio-economic development and strive to make a meaningful impact in the lives of millions. Our initiatives are aligned with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4, which aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education for all. In India, we work closely with local communities, governments, and stakeholders to implement literacy programs that are tailored to the specific needs of each region. Our efforts are concentrated in states such as Maharashtra, where literacy rates are below the national average. Establishment of AKSHARA FOUNDATION
In 2026, AKSHARA FOUNDATION was established with a vision to provide high-quality literacy programs for adults at the primary level. Our founder, ANAND ASHOK PRADHAN, brought a wealth of experience in education and community development to the organization, and we have since grown to become a leading provider of literacy programs in India.

In 2026 + 2, AKSHARA FOUNDATION expanded its operations to new regions, including Maharashtra. This expansion enabled us to reach more communities and provide our literacy programs to a wider audience. We established partnerships with local organizations and government agencies, which helped us to amplify our impact.

Introduction of Innovative Programs
In 2026 + 5, AKSHARA FOUNDATION introduced innovative programs, including the use of technology to support literacy. Our mobile app, which provides educational resources to learners, was launched in Maharashtra, and we have since seen a significant increase in learner engagement and retention.
